Richard Peters (1743/44–1828)
Peters was a friend and colleague of Bushrod Washington.
Richard Peters was born on 22 June 1743/44 at Belmont, in Philadelphia. A valedictory graduate of the College of Philadelphia (now the University of Pennsylvania), he was admitted to the bar in 1763.
