Bushrod Corbin Washington was born to Corbin Washington and Hannah Lee Washington (a daughter of Richard Henry Lee) on Christmas Day 1790 in Westmoreland County, Virginia. A landowner and slaveholder, Washington relocated in his late twenties to Jefferson County in present-day West Virginia.
