Sarah Olcott Murdock Blake (1788–1826)
Sarah Olcott Murdock was born on 25 June 1788 in Norwich, Vermont. She married George Blake in 1810. As the wife of the U.S. attorney for the District of Massachusetts, Murdock became a prominent social figure. She once hosted a large reception for President James Monroe, and was a friend and correspondent of Daniel Webster. Murdock died on 10 May 1826 in Cambridge, Massachusetts, survived by Blake and their son.
