George Blake (1769–1841)
George Blake was born on 16 April 1769 in Hardwick, Massachusetts. A Harvard graduate, he married twice: in 1794 to Rachel Baty (c. 1773–1807) and in 1810 to Sarah Olcott Murdock. He had one son with Murdock. At the age of twenty-five, Blake was admitted as an attorney of the Supreme Judicial Court in Massachusetts. Seven years later he became U.S. attorney for the District of Massachusetts. Blake died in Boston on 6 October 1841.
