Description

Robert Barraud Taylor was born on 20 March 1774 in Norfolk, Virginia. He was named for his father, who served multiple terms as mayor of Norfolk, and his mother (Sarah Curle Barraud), a descendant of Huguenots who had fled religious persecution in France.
