Abraham Small (1765–1829)
Abraham Small was born on 11 April 1765 in Taunton, England. He immigrated to Philadelphia, where he worked for more than thirty years as a publisher and printer. His partnership with John Thompson produced America’s first hot-pressed Bible (1798). Small died in Philadelphia on 15 September 1829.
