James Keith Marshall (1800–1862)
Bushrod Washington was a Supreme Court associate of James Keith Marshall's father.
James Keith Marshall, a son of John Marshall, was born on 13 February 1800 in Richmond, Virginia. He briefly attended Harvard College, but violations committed therein led his father to place him in an apprenticeship with the firm of Willing & Francis. He was thereafter a planter in Fauquier County, which he represented in the Virginia legislature (1839–41, 1854–61).
