From Richard Peters Jr.
Phila. May 22 1824
Dr Sir
The anxiety for the publication of the decisions prior to my reports has induced me to undertake the same, provided a sufficient number of subscribers can be obtained to pay the Expenses of printing— I have therefore prepared the prospectus which I send to you & which I hope you will approve of.
I have sent six copies of the prospectus, hoping that by circulating them among your friends in virginia some subscribers can be obtained. If you will do this and direct the Costs to be returned to me at an early period the object will be promoted— If you think proper to send one of the papers to Judge Story, or that I shall do so, I will conform to your wishes. I propose sending a prospectus to every district Attorney in the United States.
Jhn [?], whom I saw to day arrived yesterday & found him soon After With great regard Yrs
