To Lawrence Lewis
Dear Sir
I have settled fully with Mr Herbert on the Terms you mention except that I have made the interest on his bond for the $1086 due on the McLeans business to run from 1st July 1822 somewhat later perhaps than the day he recd the mony, but before which he shd not have invested it— The difference at most is trifling— The $2 is a mistake as I paid it in 1821 &; have detailed it in my acct. — Hooes bond is assigned to us as collateral security &; is in my possession with Mr Herbert's obligator to discharge his bond whenever we call for the mony. Affectly yrs

Mr. H. will look for the paper you speak of when he next goes to Town, &; deliver it to you
