Charles Lee, brother of Henry Lee III, Edmund Jennings Lee, and Richard Bland Lee and uncle of Edmund Jennings Lee Jr. and Robert E. Lee, was born on 1 January 1758 at the family plantation in Prince William County, Virginia.
