John Mason (17661849)

Description

John Mason, a son of founding father George Mason, was born on 4 April 1766 in Charles County, Maryland. Following an apprenticeship with an Alexandria, Virginia, merchant, he became a partner in the trading firm of Fenwick, Mason, & Company of Georgetown and Bordeaux, France.
