Johann Friedrich Wessels (c. 1769–c. 1812)
Description
Johann Friedrich Wessels was born in Muenster, Germany. A merchant by trade, he immigrated in 1794 to Baltimore, Maryland. There he and fellow German expatriate Francis Xavier Primavesi formed a partnership which dissolved after several years. Wessels died around 1812.
