Washington June 24 1805
J. Madison presents his respects to Judge Washington, and encloses the memorandum of Mr Taylor, with such additions as will give all the information necessary on the law stated by Judge Washington.
TBD, the letter was addressed to BW at Mount Vernon with the note "Dept of State James Madison." BW endorsed the letter and wrote with the name "James Maddison", "Augt 26th 1805 Sent the plats agreed to Lawrence Lewis to forward to Gab. Lewis to have the needful done agreeable to written directions."
