Robert Walsh Jr. (1784–1859)
Robert Walsh Jr. was born on 30 August 1784 in Baltimore, Maryland. He earned degrees from St. Mary's Seminary and studied in Europe before settling in Philadelphia. Walsh briefly practiced law before embarking on a career as a newspaper editor and author.
