Charles John Cazenove (c. 1802–1834)

Description

Charles John Cazenove, son of Anthony Charles Cazenove, was born in Alexandria, Virginia. A merchant, he served as commercial agent of the Republic of Columbia for the District of Columbia and the port of Norfolk. In 1827 John Quincy Adams appointed him vice consul at the Kingdom of Sardinia. The prior year Cazenove had married Sarah Elizabeth Greenleaf (1805–1870), a native of Massachusetts. Cazenove died in Boston on 9 March 1834.
