From Gabriel Duvall
Marietta, Aug. 31. 1829.
Dear Sir,
Your letter of the 17th was not received until the 29th. I perceive that it was written at Bath, & put into the Post office at Charles Town.
Immediately on receipt of it I wrote to Messrs Cazenove & Co. assuming the payment of $145.20 for the wine assigned to me. It will be paid in 30 days, or probably much sooner.
I hope you & Mrs Washington profited by your trip to Bath. Not knowing where this may reach you, I shall direct to Mount Vernon. With very great respect & esteem, Yours truly,
G. Duvall.
