From Fielding Lewis

Dear Sir

Your letter of the 13th inst. did not reach me until last Saturday, and I now reply to it by the first mail from Charles City Court house.

As it seems to meet your approbation, I will continue to pay your dividends into the branch of the Virginia Bank located at Norfolk, which will supersede the necessity of your appointing an Attorney to receive them directly from me. At the same time, it is desirable that you should specify the manner in which the order for such dividends shall be transmitted to you, whether by mail or otherwise. In the transaction of this or any other business relating to the affairs of the Company, I shall at all times take great pleasure in serving you, tho' at the same time desirous to avoid unnecessary responsibility. I am Dear Sir very respectfully yr most hble St
