ALS, ViU: Papers of the Washington Family. BW first mistakenly wrote on the cover that he recieved the letter on 20 Dec. 1822, next he wrote "19 Decr 1823" but crossed "Decr" out and replaced it with the word "March." BW wrote underneath the address "Direct to Mr Craig, Dumfries."
1. On the cover Craig noted that the letter was "Favored by Mr C. J. Fox"
2. After the name "Mr Leachman," Craig originally wrote "intending" but wrote the words "As Cash" over it.
