From Thomas Todd

My dear Sirs,

Your favour of the 1st inst. came to hand by the last Mail. I concur in the Opinion that the question is sufficiently doubtful to warrant the parties concerned, in acceding to the compromise proposed by Mr Banks, & that the property in contest is not of sufficient value to incur expensive litigation.

In my former letter I proferred my services to render any aid in my power, for the adjustment of this business; if the parties concerned will confide in me, I can have no objection to undertake the agency, without any view to compensation— the trouble will be so inconside<r>able as not to merit any, & the interest of my wards will be a sufficient inducement, independent of a ready willingness to be serviceable to you in any transactions in which you are concerned in this Country. With best regards & Wishes for Mrs W. & yourself I am my dear Sirs very sincerely & affectly yrs

Thomas Todd
