George Augustine Washington was a cousin of Bushrod Washington.

Description

George Augustine Washington was the oldest son of George Washington's younger brother Charles. His two stints in the Revolutionary War included service as a guard for his uncle and as an aide to Major General Lafayette. Plagued by poor healthlikely tuberculosis—George Augustine left the military in 1782 to seek a cure in the West Indies.
