Joseph Eggleston (1754–1811)
In May 1788 Bushrod Washington wrote Eggleston regarding a debt.
Joseph Eggleston, son of a planter, was born on 24 November 1754 in Middlesex County, Virginia. After graduating with honors from The College of William and Mary in 1776, he was an officer in the Lighthorse Cavalry of Henry Lee III during the Revolutionary War.
