George Fayette Washington's father was Bushrod Washington's cousin.

Description

George Fayette Washington, son of George Augustine Washington and stepson of Tobias Lear, was born on 17 January 1790 at Mount Vernon, Virginia. At the age of twenty-one, he inherited the entirety of River Farm, a 2,077-acre portion of the Mount Vernon estate which granduncle George Washington had bequeathed to him and his brother Charles.
