Simon Summers (1747–1836)
Simon Summers was born on 23 November 1747 in Fairfax County, Virginia. A surveyor by trade, he served in the Virginia infantry during the Revolutionary War. His post-war years included employment as deputy surveyor of Fairfax County (1798–1801) and surveyor of Alexandria County (1801–26).
