Joshua Riddle (1766–1825)
Riddle and Bushrod Washiongton were acquaintances.
Joshua Riddle was born on 15 August 1766. A merchant in Alexandria, Virginia, he was also a member of that city's fire brigade. Riddle married Frances "Fanny" Rush Harper (b. 1769) in 1795. He died in Alexandria on 11 June 1825.
