Benjamin Rawle Morgan (c. 1764–1840)

Morgan, Rawle, and Ingersoll corresponded with Bushrod Washington as part of their investigation into the authorship of George Washington's Farewell Address. 

Description

Benjamin Rawle Morgan was born in Pennsylvania. A Philadelphia lawyer and judge, he was a state legislator, founding member of the Historical Society of Pennsylvania, secretary to the Library Company of Philadelphia, and trustee of the University of Pennsylvania.
