Thomas Dunbar (d. 1767)

Description

Thomas Dunbar was a British army officer. He served under Edward Braddock in the latter's expedition against Fort Duquesne during the French and Indian War. In 1760 he received promotion to lieutenant-general. Following the war, Dunbar was lieutenant-governor of Gibraltar. He died on 7 February 1767 in Dublin, Ireland.
