Description

Robert Adams, born in Ireland, was a merchant in Philadelphia. He married Martha Levy Jones (1788–1848) in 1805. Together they had several children, one of whom they named after Bushrod Washington. (Bushrod left Adams one of George Washington's gold watches in his will.) He died on 27 February 1833.
