Mary Oliver Story Curtis (1817–1848)
Mary's father was a U.S. Supreme Court colleague of Bushrod Washington.
Mary Oliver Story was born to Joseph Story and Sarah Waldo Wetmore Story on 10 March 1817 in Salem, Massachusetts. Several siblings predeceased her birth, and she grew close with her younger brother William Wetmore Story (1819–1895). The two were part of an unofficial social club called Brothers and Sisters. In 1844 Mary married author and lawyer George Ticknor Curtis (1812–1894). None of their five children reached maturity. Mary Oliver Story Curtis died on 28 April 1848.
