Hannah Bushrod Washington (1738–1801)
Hannah Bushrod was the mother of Bushrod Washington.
Hannah Bushrod was born on 1 May 1738 at Bushfield in Westmoreland County, Virginia. Her father, John Bushrod, was a vestryman at Cople Parish, represented Westmoreland County in the House of Burgesses, and served as sheriff. In 1756 Hannah married John Augustine Washington. She died at Bushfield on 25 April 1801, her husband and most of their children having predeceased her.
