Dear Sir

I acknowledge the rect of your favor of the 27th Ulto.

The high opinion which I entertain of Mr Coxe’s talents & amiable qualities would render it a pleasurable employment to me to contribute in any way to promote his professional success, and will undoubtedly be exerted in the way you mention, should the present reporter1 resign, which I have not understood was his intention. Should he wish to continue, the Judges will not, I presume, think of appointing another reporter. I am very respectfully Dear Sir yr mo. ob. Servt
