Andrew Parks (1773–1836)
Andrew Parks's wife was a cousin of Bushrod Washington.
Andrew Parks was born on 10 August 1773 in Malden, Kanawha County, Virginia (present-day West Virginia). A merchant by trade, he worked in Fredericksburg and Baltimore. In 1796 he married Harriot (Harriet) Washington (1776–1822), a niece of George Washington. Parks and Washington had eight children, seven of whom lived to maturity. In 1818 Parks returned to Kanawha County, where he was justice of the peace.
