Since my return from Richmond I recd yours of the 11 Inst.
I am sorry that it is not in the power of the Executors to afford you the accomodation you ask for, as we have long since settled with the creditor Legatees to receive assignments of the debts due from those who are debtors & have consequently no longer any controle over the Subject— The due from you is to be assigned to one of the creditor legatees but without seeing Mr Leewis I cannot particularize the person at this time.
