Daniel Morgan (1736–1802)
Daniel Morgan was born on 6 July 1736 in either Hunterdon County, New Jersey, or Bucks County, Pennsylvania. He moved to Virginia in 1753 and served as a teamster under Edward Braddock during the French and Indian War. In the later years of that conflict, Morgan met Abigail Curry (1743–1816); they would have two daughters before legally marrying in 1773.
