Description

Thomas Williamson was born on 22 May 1777 in Henrico County, Virginia. A cashier at the Norfolk branch of the Bank of Virginia for approximately forty years, he also served as mayor and sat on the Norfolk Academy's board of trustees. Williamson married twice: in 1800 to Elizabeth Ege Galt (1779–1807) and in 1809 to Anne McClelland McCauley Walke (1790–1827). He had two children who reached adulthood with the former and eight with the latter. Williamson died in Norfolk on 19 December 1846.
