George Washington Lewis and Bushrod Washington were first cousins.

Description

George Washington Lewis, a son of Elizabeth Washington Lewis and nephew of George Washington, was born on 13 March 1757 at Kenmore plantation in Fredericksburg, Virginia. He attended the College of New Jersey (today’s Princeton University) before serving in his uncle’s personal guard during the Revolutionary War.
