David Daggett (1764–1851)
David Daggett and Bushrod Washington, both Federalists, exchanged correspondence on legal and judicial matters.
David Daggett was born on 31 December 1764 in Attleboro, Massachusetts. After graduating from Yale at the age of eighteen, he taught school, studied law, gained admission to the bar, and commenced practice in New Haven, Connecticut.
