To Swan & Taylor

Gentn

I have written to Mr Moore requesting him to appoint a day for taking up the accounts referred to him in the Case of Washington vs. Washington's Exectrs1 and to give you notice thereof. I then propose for the purpose of saving yourselves unnecessary trouble & to prevent delay that you draw the form of a letter to your clients and put it into the hands of Mr Snowden to strike off about 40 Copies on letter paper to be charged to me. I shall put into your hands, as soon as this is done, copies of the Accounts of your clients to be enclosed to them that they may be prepared, either to attend the Commissioner in person, or to instruct you how to act in their behalf. I would take the liberty of suggesting that your letter to them should request their immediate acknowledgment of it, with such instructions as they might think proper to give you. When I deliver you their accounts, I shall at the same time give you their address.

It is my intention to pay you a fee & charge it to the estate. Should any unexpected Controversy arise in the Cause either in respect to our Conduct, or between the individual plffs in relation to their seperate accounts, which may require an argument, you will of course look to the party or parties so requiring an argument for such additional compensation as you may require right. I do not however anticipate any thing of this kind. I am Gentn very respectfully yr mo. ob. Servt

Bush. Washington

It may not be amiss to admonish your clients to pay the postage of their letters to you[.] I now send you the addresses of your clients.
