Samuel Griffin (17461810)

Description

Samuel Griffin was born on 20 April 1746 in Richmond County, Virginia. A lawyer by trade, he served during the Revolutionary War as aide-de-camp to General Charles Lee, deputy adjutant general for the flying camp, and member of the Virginia Board of War. His political career included stints as mayor of Williamsburg (177980), member of the Virginia House of Delegates (178688), and member of the U.S. House of Representatives (178995).
